San Bernardino Line Metrolink Riders: Do You Want A Permanent 25% Discount On Rides??

Source: KABC

If you are a Southern California resident who rides the San Bernardino Metrolink line on a frequent basis, then you are aware that as of July 1st of 2018 until Dec. 31 2018 - there is a test to see if a 25% discount would increase ridership on the San Bernardino line.  As a result, Metrolink is wondering if the riders who ride the San Bernardino line would like a PERMANENT 25% discount to stay PERMANENT????

If so (If Yes to a permanent 25% discount),  READ BELOW and FOLLOW Instructions on how to e-mail or send a comment to the Metrolink Board before October 31, 2018.

The final decision will be made at the Metrolink Board Meeting on November 9, 2018 -- soon.  Therefore, a response is necessary.

Instructions:

Metrolink has set up a web page (Public Hearing Notice) with specific instructions on how to comment (as a member of the public) if you are unable to travel to the November 9th Metrolink Board Meeting to express your support for a permanent 25% discount on all tickets for the San Bernardino line -- Yes, Permanent -- from now into the future!  Wow!  Here is the description from the Metrolink web page:

Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) will convene a public hearing at its Board of Directors Meeting, on Friday, November 9, 2018 to evaluate potential fare policy changes with the goal of increasing ridership on the San Bernardino line. The hearing will discuss the current promotional 25% discount on the San Bernardino Line that went into effect on July 1, 2018 and ends on December 31, 2018. The Authority is currently working with the impacted member agencies to make this discount permanent to maintain existing riders and continue to grow ridership on that line.
